The synchronisation between the emitting diodes and the receiver sensors
is provided by an extra beam emitted by the receiver unit towards the emitter
unit. This synchronisation beam delimits one side of the detection zone (see
figure 1).
When an opaque object with a diameter greater or equal to the resolution
of the system interrupts one or several beams (figure 2), the receiver output
provides an alarm signal to command the control unit to de-energize the
output relays.
