•  For safety reasons, after the conversion you need to check the proper and secure fit of all the

bolted joints.

•  For the bolted joints "metal/metal" is compulsory to use a thread locking varnish.
•  After the installation, check the correct functioning of all the remote control elements.

Installation

Disassemble firstly the vehicle body, the front body extension and the air filter.

Process steps to Figure 1:

•  Remove all eight screws on the underside of the chassis plate, which are marked with "1".
•  Lift the entire the front axle from the chassis.

Process steps to Figure 2:

•  Remove the screws of the front differential half-shell (1) and lift it forward along with the crash

protection.

•  Place in the rear differential half-shell, inside and outside, a ball bearing and the shaft with the

gear (2).

•  Install the shaft tongue (3) on the just mounted shaft in such a way that the shaft turns

smoothly, but without any clearance. Lock the shaft with the Allen wrench, so that the screw

presses on the flat part of the shaft.

•  Place the front differential (4) in the rear differential half-shell and check the lateral clearance.
The lateral clearance must be minimized with 1 - 2 compensating washers, such that the

differential can be rotated without excessive force, but without lateral clearance (5).

•  Grease thickly the ring gear of the differential with a suitable gear grease.
•  Insert back the front differential half-shell and lock it with the four casing screws.
•  The package contains three drive shafts, one of them being slightly shorter. Install the two

equally long drive shafts (6) in the shaft tongues of the front wheels and of the differential.

The individual shorter drive shaft is used for driving between the centre differential and the

front differential.

•  Install the two transversal control arms.
•  Fasten the differential casing properly and install this unit back on the chassis, following the

reverse order.

Process steps to Figure 3:

•  Remove all four screws on the underside of the chassis plate, which are marked with "2" in

Figure 1.

•  Lift from the chassis the differential block along with the brake.
•  Remove the four screws of the top plate and remove the front differential holder.
•  Install the second brake (1 + 2) on the front differential holder. For installing this, orientate

yourself on the already available brakes.

•  Install the brake mechanism as shown in Figure 3, pos. 3.
•  Place the centre differential (4) back in the chassis.

To to this, slide the rear and the front drive shaft into the shaft tongues of the respective dif-

ferentials.

Then fasten back the differential on the chassis, from the underside, using the four screws.

Process steps to Figure 4:

•  Adjust the upper and lower steering rods of the brake mechanism (1) in such a way that both

rods have the same length.

•  Install the second rod and the second rod guide (2) on the rudder horn of the throttle/brake

servo. To do this, remove the locking nut of the fastening screw.

The screw of the rudder horn is then fastened onto the plastic of the second rods guide (2) in

a way that this unit can be moved easily and without a large mechanical clearance.

•  Adjust the brake with the adjusting ring (3). Here, by suitably adjusting the distances to the

rod guide can be set an individual brake balance, in which is adjusted the pressure point of

each brake rod.

Install finally the air filter and then set the vehicle bodyback on. The conversion from 2-wheel-

drive (2WD) to 4-wheel-drive (4WD) is hereby finished.
Before your first ride, verify the proper functioning of the vehicle and of the remote control.
