16. Troubleshooting
This model and the remote control were built using the latest technology. However, faults and malfunction may still
occur. The following section shows you how to troubleshoot potential problems.
Problem
Solution
The transmitter does not respond and
the power LED is off.
•
Replace the batteries in the transmitter.
•
Check the polarity of the batteries in the transmitter.
•
Turn the transmitter on.
The power LED on the transmitter
flashes.
•
Replace the batteries in the transmitter.
The model does not respond to the
remote control.
•
Execute the pairing function (section 12).
•
Check the drive battery and connectors.
•
Repeat the power on procedure.
Motor is not running
•
Check the drive battery charge status.
•
Execute the pairing function (section 12).
Travel time is too short
• Fully charge the drive battery.
•
Check the charger for functionality.
•
Replace the drive battery.
Model does not travel straight
•
Adjust steering trim on the transmitter.
Turning circle is too large or rudder
deflection is too small
• Correct the end position of the servo/rudder deflection to the left and
right, as described in section 10. i).
Strong vibrations
•
Check the propeller and replace if necessary.
•
Grease the drive shaft.
The model boat travels in the direction
opposite to the movement of the rotary
wheel on the transmitter
•
Set the reverse switch for steering function on the transmitter differ-
ently.
Motor continues to run in the neutral
position of the throttle trigger switch on
the transmitter
•
Set the drive's neutral position with the trim buttons for drive function.
Model boat stops while driving
•
The undervoltage detection has been activated; see section 11. b).
