12. Disposal
a) General information
Electric and electronic devices must not be disposed of in the domestic waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
The user is legally obliged (battery regulation) to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. Do
not dispose of used batteries via the domestic waste!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the following symbols
which point out that the disposal via the domestic waste is prohibited. The designations for the respective
hazardous heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (name on battery/rechargeable battery,
eg under the rubbish bin icons on the left).
You can return used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to any collecting point in your local
authority, in our stores or in any other store where batteries/rechargeable batteries are sold.
Thus, you comply with the legal obligations and make your contribution to environmental protection.
