Section 8: Adjusting the
ProBOOSTER to Fit Your Child
Head Restraint Adjustment
The purpose of the head restraint adjustment is to maximize
the side impact protection for the child’s head and properly
position the vehicle shoulder belt across the child’s body.
There are eleven (11) height adjustment positions of the head
restraint that will allow the ProBOOSTER to grow with your
child.
Prior to placing and fitting the child restraint system to the
vehicle seat, adjust the head restraint to fit the child. After
finding the correct position for the head restraint to the child,
place the ProBOOSTER in the vehicle.
To properly fit your child, the head restraint should be
positioned as follows:
• Your child’s head must be
centered vertically between
the top and bottom of the head
restraint.
-AND-
• The red shoulder belt guide on
the child restraint system must
be above the child’s shoulder
to allow for correct vehicle belt
positioning.
