Here's what to try:
Clock shows incorrect time or date
TV/VCR makes noise when stopped
Will not auto channel search active
channels correctly
Tape plays back in slow motion
Cannot see closed captions on screen
Box or closed captions appear on screen
TIMER
indicator flashing on front of TV/VCR
Tape plays over and over
Tape starts playing automatically
TV/VCR turns off automatically
TV/VCR turns on automatically
Cannot record one program while watching
a different program
• Power interruption.
TIMER
indicator flashes on front of TV/VCR.
• Clock was not set accurately (check
AM/PM
and date).
• Time zone or daylight savings time information incorrect. See page 4.
• TV/VCR is removing tape from heads. This is normal. The head cylinder
inside the TV/VCR will continue to rotate for a few minutes after you put the
VCR in the stop mode.
• Check antenna or cable connections.
• Press
PLAY
to return to normal playback.
• Closed caption function must be set to on. See page 10.
• Station may not be broadcasting closed captions.
• A text or closed caption feature has been selected. See page 10.
•
MUTE
button has been pressed and automatic caption feature has been
turned on. See page 10.
• Power interruption. Check clock. See page 4.
• Timer program set and TV/VCR turned off with no cassette or cassette with
no safety tab inserted. See pages 26-27.
• Auto repeat play turned on. See page 18.
• Auto play feature turned on. See page 18.
• Sleep timer turned on. Press
POWER
to turn TV/VCR back on.
• Wake up timer (alarm) turned on. See page 12.
• TV/VCR only has one tuner. Only one program can be watched and
recorded at the same time.
