Alert Sound
When you select ALERT SOUND:ON as described below, a short
warning will sound each time an invalid entry or operation is made
and a timer program is set.

Program Guard
When activated, this feature prohibits all VCR operations except
timer recording. This is useful to prevent misoperation and protect
your TV/VCR from curious children.

. Hold down
STOP
on the remote for 6 seconds to activate or
deactivate the program guard regardress of whether power is
ON
or
OFF
.
•
“Program Guard is ON”
or
“Program Guard is OFF”
is
displayed on the screen.
•
When the program guard is on or off, power indicator
flashes for 8 seconds.
•
If you press invalid bottons while program guard is on,
Power
indicator flashes and the following display will alert
you.
•
To stop a timer recording in progress, program guard must
first be turned off.
