INSTRUCTION MANUAL

Man Down On/Off

 - Toggles between Man Down On and Off for the 

radio.

Monitor On/Off

 - Toggles between Monitor On and Off for the channel.

Next Record

 - Plays the next recorded voice call.

Nuisance Temp Delete

 - Temporarily removes an unwanted channel 

from the scan list, except the Selected Channel. The nuisance deleted 
channel will be restored into the scan list, when radio is powered off 
and back on again.

One Touch Access 1~15

 - Allows the user to directly invoke the feature 

set to the specific One Touch Access.  

Power Low/High

 - Toggles between TX Power Low and High for the 

radio.

Alerts / Tones Profiles

 - Quick access to the Alerts and Tones settings 

menu.

Public Address On/Off

 - Toggles between Public Address On and Off 

for the radio. (Mobile radios Only!)

Radio Mode Toggle Switch

 - Switches between the different radio 

modes available for the radio. Conventional (Analog and DMR Digital), 
DMR Digital Trunking.

Record Playback

 - Plays the selected recorded voice call.

Scan On/Off

 - Toggles between Scan On and Off for the channel.

Speaker Setting

 - Toggles and selects the default speaker for 

broadcasting the audio. (Mobile radios Only!)

Status Message

 - Enters the Status Message menu.

TalkAround

 - Toggles between Repeater and TalkAround mode.

Text Message

 - Enters the Text Message menu.

Unlock BS

 - Disable cell reselection (Trunking Mode Only)

Voice Broadcast

Zone Down

 - Switches Down through the available zones.

Zone Toggle Switch

 - Toggles between the available zones.

Zone Up

 - Switches Up through the available zones.

Function Keypad (RDR4360™ / RDR4390™)

Accessing the Programmed Functions (RDR4360™ / RDR4390™)

You can access various radio functions through one of the following 
ways: A short or long press of the relevant programmable buttons.

Or

1.  To access the menu, press the        button. Press the Up or Down 

button to access the menu functions. 

2. To select a function or enter a sub-menu, press the          button. 

3. To go back one menu level, or to return to the previous screen, press 

the         button. Press the         button to return to the Home Screen.

Radio Keypad (RDR4390™ only)

You can use the alphanumeric keypad to access the radio features. 
You can also use the keypad to enter subscriber numbers or IDs , and 
text messages.

•  Use the      key to switch input method between numeric and 

alphabetic (ABC or abc) mode. The symbol will be shown on the 
upper right corner of the display. 

•  To input special character, switch to alphabetic mode, press             and 

use the direction key         to select the character. 

•  To input space, switch to the alphabetic mode and press         to 

insert space.

Operational Status Indicators

Your radio indicates its operational status through the following:

•  Display Icons (RDR4360™ / RDR4390™) 

•  Call Icons (RDR4360™ / RDR4390™) 

•  Sent Item Icons (RDR4360™ / RDR4390™) 

•  LED Indicator (Entire RDR43x0 Series) 

•  Audio Tones (Entire RDR43x0 Series)

Display Icons

The LCD display shows radio status, text entries, and menu entries. 
The following are icons that appear on the radio’s display.

Received Signal Strength 
Indicator (RSSI)

The number of bars displayed represents the radio 
signal strength and is only displayed while the radio 
is in receiving mode.

No Signal

The radio has no signal and will not be able to 
transmit or receive.

 

 

Power Level

Radio is set at Low power. Radio is set at Medium 
power. Radio is set at High power.

 

 

Operation Mode

Radio is at Digital mode. Radio is at TMO mode. 
Radio is set at Analog mode.

Battery

The number of bars (0-5) shown indicates the charge 
remaining in the battery.

Low Battery

Radio is low in battery.

Unread Message

The Radio has unread message(s) in the inbox.

Inbox Full

The radio’s Inbox is full.

Silent Mode

The radio is on silent.

Standard Mode

The radio is on standard.

Custom Mode

The radio is on custom.

Encryption Icon

Encryption is on.

Encryption Icon

Encryption is off or wrong encryption key.

Audio Accessory Icon

Audio accessory is connected.

Call Status

The radio is currently on the call with other radio(s).
