Engine Belt Drives

- Check

and Adjust

Hydraulic Pump V-Belt

The pump  (1) is mounted to the hydraulic tank brackets
(2).    The  pump  belt  is  adjusted  by  loosening  the
hydraulic tank mounting bolts (3),(4) & (5) and sliding
the  pump  and  tank  back  as  necessary  to  achieve
correct tension.

When properly tensioned, the pump belt should deflect

" when 3.8 lbs. of force is applied in the center of the

span. (If belt is new, however, use 5.7 lbs. instead.)
Retighten pump mounting bolts, and remount the
engine front cover, being sure to replace and tighten
firmly all fasteners.
