ADJUSTMENTS
9.10 BALANCE BAR (PEDESTRIAN MACHINES
ONLY)
When the machine is used without the grassbox fitted,
the balance bar (Fig. 39), fitted at the base of the
handle, must be removed and fitted to the grassbox
arms.
9.11
SEAT (STEERING SEAT)
The seat is adjustable forwards or backwards.
(a)
Release setscrews underneath mounting and
slide seat to required position.
(b)
Retighten screws after adjusting.
9.12 STEERING CONTROL CABLE (STEERING
SEAT)
The cable should be kept taut without overstraining
and the adjusters (A) at the rear of the machine
should be used for this purpose.
If adjustment is found necessary, tighten or slacken
the locknuts (B) to suit.
Whilst every care must be taken to ensure the cable is
tight, the relationship between the steering bar and
the rear roll must be maintained, ie. When the
steering bar is straight across the machine the rear
roll should be in the straight ahead position.
