Feed the wires of the new R&G licence plate illuminator (
item 10
) through the central hole in
the new licence plate bracket (
item 1
) as shown in
pictures 29
and
30
.
•
Secure using the washers and nut supplied as shown in
picture 30
.
•
Fit one length of heat-shrink (
item 12
) to the wires and heat gently to shrink to fit.
•
Fit the light shroud and use a small amount of adhesive to hold it in position as shown in
picture 31
.
•
Please ensure the wiring and wiring covers are neat and tidy using the supplied clips and cable
ties (
items 13
and
15
) as shown in
picture 32
.
•
Offer the entire assembly up to the motorcycle and secure in position using the M6 bolts with
washers (
items 2
and
3
).
•
Refit the rear light and bracket as original using the two shorter M5 bolts and washers (
items 4
and
5
) through the rear two holes in the new licence plate bracket as shown below, refit the
two original nuts.
•
Reconnect the rear light plug socket, connect the licence plate illuminator using the supplied
connector (
item 14
), reconnect the indicators (if using mini
’
s use the supplied connectors
(
items 9
) as original to the wiring loom.
•
It is a good idea to check the operation of all lights at this stage, if the indicators or licence
plate illuminator fail to function, please swap the connectors over.
•
Refit the seat cowl and seats as original.
•
IMPORTANT: IF FITTING A FULL-SIZE LICENCE PLATE AND PLACING IT FAR DOWN ON THE LICENCE PLATE
HANGER, THERE IS A SMALL CHANCE OF THE LICENCE PLATE HITTING THE BACK WHEEL UNDER HEAVY
LOAD AND OVER LARGE BUMPS IN THE ROAD. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK FOR THIS
POSSIBILITY AND TAKE AVOIDING ACTION. FAILURE TO CHECK THIS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY.
•
Refit the seat unit and licence plate (it may require drilling).
•
Depending on local laws, attach enclosed reflector (
item 11
) in an appropriate location.
•
Please test the indicators, rear light and licence plate illuminator before riding.
