FEATURES OF YOUR BIKE
Mid Drive Motor:
With your bike having a mid-dive motor, the power of the motor is transferred from the motor to the rear set of gears,
then to the rear wheel, this acts as a transmission for your bike. When climbing hills or going slow, you will want to use a
lower gear (larger sprocket). When you are on flat ground or wanting to go faster you can shift to a higher gear (smaller
sprocket). This will help you get the most performance out of your bike.
Note: because of the mid drive motor, when pushing the bike backwards you will experience some resistance, this is
normal, due to the motor turning backwards.
Note: This motor has a built-in temperature sensor that will decrease motor power if the motor temp is too high due to
climbing steep hills or hauling heavy loads. Once the motor cools down to a safe level it will automatically increase its
max power.
Torque Sensing Motor:
Your bike is equipped with a torque sensing mid drive motor. What this means is that the more you pedal or harder you
pedal the more assistance the motor will give you. For example, if you are pedaling slowly the motor will only match
your pedaling speed and assist slowly/lightly. If you pedal hard and fast the motor will match your pedaling and assist
you with maximum speed and power.
Pedal Assist:
This bike has the pedal assist feature. When on pedal assist level 1-5 the motor will assist you while pedaling. Pedal
assist 1 being the slowest and least powerful and 5 being the fastest and most powerful. If on Pedal Assist level 0 you
will not have any motor assistance.
Gearing:
Your bike has an Enviolo rear hub with CVT gearing inside, CVT stands for continuously variable transmission. This means
there is no actual gears inside the hub. You can adjust the torque ratio (shifter) wherever you would like without having
to worry what gear you are in; the shifter can be set to any setting. Always be sure to stop peddling or using the motor
when shifting. If the shifter
is not wanting to move all the way “up” or “down” simply
make one pedal rotation and this
will allow the shifter to move the rest of the way through shift settings.
Thumb Throttle:
Your bike has a thumb throttle located on the handlebars, either on the left or right side of the bars, depending on the
model. The thumb throttle can be used at any time even from a complete stop it can be used to take off and assist you
up to max speed. Please note, the power of the thumb throttle is set to match the power of the pedal assist level you
are on, 1 being the slowest and least powerful and 5 being the fastest and most powerful. If on Pedal Assist level 0 the
thumb throttle will not have any power.
Walk Assist:
By holding down on the
“–”
button your bike will enter walk assist mode, the bike will propel itself as you walk along
side of it. Make sure your Enviolo display is shifted to the hill setting, to ensure the bike moves at a slower speed.
