Step #3: Install Brackets to Wall
Install Top Brackets
Place your brackets in the positions that have been measured and marked. We highly
recommend having at least one screw go into a stud with each bracket. Install drywall
anchors wherever necessary on the remaining holes if studs are not possible. Once any
anchors are in place, place the brackets and insert the provided screws into each of the
holes.
Install Bottom Brackets
Place your brackets in the positions that have been measured and marked. For the best
fit and durability, mount all screws into a stud. If this is not possible, install drywall
anchors into the marked positions and insert a screw into this on the remaining holes.
Once any anchors are in place, place the brackets and insert the provided screws into
each of the holes. If you have floorboards, you will need to place a spacer board equal to
the thickness of your floorboard behind the top hole (this is fairly common)
Step #4: Install Screen to Brackets
Unfold your screen and lay flat on a clean surface. The bottom of your screen will be the
flap without the velcro attachment. Hold the top of the screen at each corner and align
the corner grommet to the hole in the top bracket. Insert the elevator bolt through the
grommet and the hole in the bracket, then fasten the washer and nut to the end of the
bolt, hand tighten the nut to secure the fitting. Repeat this process for each of the
remaining three corner brackets.
Step #5: Install Side Netting
Unpack your triangular side netting and indicate the right side from the left. Lay out the
nets and locate the 8’ section that contains the velcro as well as the 10’ length section.
The following diagram indicates where the velcro will need to be positioned. Attach the
velcro portion of the side net to the side flap of your HomeBay Impact Screen from top to
bottom. The side net should be the same height as the impact screen if properly
fastened. Fasten the sandbags to the far corner of the side netting and fill with your
heavy object of choice. Fasten the top grommet of the net to the impact screen utilizing
the ball bungees provided for a tighter fit.
