Connect the Green wire from the SMRT-Y
user interface to the zone terminal, where
the marked zone wire was originally
connected (see Figure 11).
6.
Turn on the controller and allow the SMRT-Y
user interface to take a soil moisture reading.
The reading should appear in the display
after 4-5 seconds. If the reading is zero the
wiring to the sensor is not correct and will
need to be reviewed and corrected. If the
reading is not zero, the wiring is correct and
you may finish up the grease cap installation
on the sensor wiring. Verify soil Temperature
and soil Electrical Conductivity as well.
