Basic Operation
Manual Volume Control
To adjust the volume of allsounds made
bythisengine,turnthemastervolume
control knoblocatedundertheengine
clockwise toincrease the volume and
counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.
Horn/Whistle
- To sound the
horn, firmlypressthe
Horn/Whistle button. The horn
will soundforaslongasyou
continue todepressthebutton. It
will stop when you release the
button.
Bell
- To sound the bell, firmly
press and release the Bell
button. To turnthebelloff,
press and release the Bell button
again. The bellwill continue to
ring from the time you turn i t o n
until you press and release the
button again to turn it off.
Direction
Yourtrainis
programmedtostartinneutral.
The train will always cycle
neutral-forward-neutral-reverse
with each press and release of the
directionbutton. The engine is
programmedtorestartin neutral
each time the track voltage is
turned off for 25seconds or more.
Emergency Stop
Press the
Emergency Stop button and all
trains on the trackcontrolled by
theremotewillstopuntilyou
reapply voltage. This is an easy
way to shut downyourtrainsat
theendofasessionortostop
suddenly if the train's path
becomes obstructed.
Operation Buttons
Throttle Up
Throttle upthepowertoyourtrackbypressingthetopendoftheThrottle
Control Rocker Switchfirmlyforabout5seconds, until theengine's headlight and
lighted cars burnbright. Thenputtheengineintomotionby firmly pressing the
Directionbutton(holditforapproximately1second)onyourremoteonce. If theengine
does notbegintomoveassoonasyoufirmlypresstheDirectionbutton,youmaynot
have sent enough voltagetothetracktomakethetrainmove. Press thethrottle u p f o r a
few more seconds until thetrain begins to move. To increase or decrease trackvoltage,
and therefore train speed, press the throttle controlrocker switch. Pressing the topendof
thethrottle will increase voltage and speed. Pressing the bottom end of the throttle will
decrease voltage and speed. The engine will maintain the speed you set after you release
thethrottle until you press it again to change the voltageandspeed.
