Greasing Instructions
Your RailKing Remote Control System shouldofferyearsoftrouble-freeservice. There
are a fewthingsyoucandotoensuretrouble-freeoperation:
If your train respondsinconsistently, replace oldbatteries withfreshones. Do not
mix oldandnewbatteries.
Remove batteries before storing for extendedperiods.
Donotdroptheremote. It can damage the delicateelectronics inside.
Any attempt byanyoneotherthananauthorizedM.T.H.repairpersontoopenand
repair the handheld transmitter orlock-on mayresultindamageandthelossof
warrantyprotection.

The engine shouldbeoiledandgreasedinordertorunproperly.
Regularly lubricate all side rods and linkage components and pickup rollers
toprevent squeaking. Use light household oil, such asthatfoundinM.T.H.'s
maintenance kit. Do not over oil. Use only a droportwooneachpivot
point.
The locomotive's internal gearing was greasedatthefactory. Grease engineevery50
hours of use or one year. Use a lithiumbasedgreaseandfollowthegreasinginstructions.

Remove thescrewfromthechassistoopen
thegreaseport.
Insertthegreasetubetipintotheportand
squeezethetubeonceortwicetoaddgrease
tothegearbox.
Wipeoffanyexcessgreaseandreplacethe
phillipsscrewsecurely.
