Lubrication and Greasing Instructions
To ensuretrouble-free operation:
Do not drop the remote. It candamagethedelicate electronics inside.
Remove batteries beforestoring for extendedperiods.
Anyattempt byanyone otherthanan authorized M.T.H.repairperson toopenand
repair the handheldtransmitter or lock-on mayresultindamage and the loss of
warrantyprotection.
If your train responds inconsistently, replaceoldbatteries with fresh ones. Do not
mix oldandnewbatteries.

Theengineshouldbeoiled and greasedinordertorunproperly.
Regularly lubricateall axles and linkagecomponents and p ickuprollersto
prevent squeaking. Uselighthouseholdoil,suchasthatfoundinM.T.H.'s
maintenance kit. Donotoveroil. Use only a droportwoon each pivot point.
Thelocomotive's i nternal gearing was greased at thefactory. Grease engine every 50
hours of use or oneyear. Use a lithiumbasedgreaseandfollowthegreasinginstructions.

Remove the four Phillipsscrewsfromthechassisthenliftthebodyawayfromthechassis.
Remove the truckblocksfrom the c hassisby unscrewing t he large phillipsmotor mountscrew onthe
bottomofeachtruckblock.
