Adjustment of knives is made through subsequent
adjustment of each knife.
To install a knife it is required to:
● Loosen the knife Pos. 1, by means of
unscrewing four special bolts Pos. 2 to the point
of free movement of the knife;
● Put the stencil Pos. 9 on the surface of the axel
knife as shown on Pic. 6а. The cutting edge of
the knife must rest upon the stencil. The stencil
should be positioned on both sides of the axel
knife;
● Fix the knife by tightening the special bolts Pos.
2;
● After all the bolts have been tightened, it is
necessary to check the correctness of the knives’
installation again (if needed, installation must be
re-made).
If the knives are installed properly, their cutting
edge must slightly touch (up to 0.1mm) the lower
edge of the ruler at the turn of the axel knife (see.
Pic. 6б).
In the case the knives are installed strictly
according to the stencil but the condition of
touching of the cutting edge of the knives the lower
edge of the ruler fails to be met, it is necessary
to carry out the leveling of the upper immovable
table.
The leveling of the upper immovable table is
made by changing the position of nuts Pos. 1 and
Pos. 2 on a pivot Pos. 3 Pic. 7.
Shifting the nuts to the right – upper immovable
table goes up.
Shifting the nuts to the left – upper immovable
table goes down.
5.7.3 Adjustment of planer’s depth
To make adjustment of the planer’s depth, it is
required to:
● Turn off the lock-nut Pos. 106;
● By turning the handle Pos. 105, set the required
planer’s depth (from 0 up to 3,5 mm), using the
scale on the upper table Pos. 107;
● Clockwise turn of the handle decreases the
planer’s depth while the anticlockwise turn
increases the planer’s depth;
● Fix the upper movable table Pos. 104 in the
required position by tightening the lock-nut Pos.

5.7.4 Installation of the planer’s guiding ruler
The planer’s ruler is designated for guidance of
the treated material during planing and provides
planing-at-an-angle function.
Install the guiding planer’s ruler on the machine
by matching the holes А2, А4 both on the machine
and on the guide.
Fix the ruler using bolts Pos. 17 and washers Pos.
18, Pos. 19.
The planer’s ruler Pos. 7 can be installed either
perpendicular to the table or at an angle.
To do the planing at an angle one need to ease
wing-nuts Pos. 119 , install the ruler at a needed
angle on the scale and tighten the wing-nuts
again.
The ruler must fit closely to the table (at any angle
of turn). To achieve that, one need to ease screws
Pos 13, move the ruler along the notches in the
base Pos.6 to the needed depth and tighten the
screws again.
