You can only cut wood or wood-like materials.
Before cutting, make sure that the garden pruner does not run into stones or nails, as this could cause the garden
pruner to slip off and damage the chain.
Avoid situations where the working garden pruner could touch a wire fence or the ground.
When cutting branches, support the garden pruner as much as possible and try not to cut with the front of the guide
rail.
Pay attention to obstacles such as protruding stumps, roots, dents and holes in the ground, as they can be the cause
of an accident.
Cutting and pruning branches of trees and shrubs.
Pruning the branches of fallen trees start from the bottom and continue in the direction of its crown. The small twigs
should be cut in one fell swoop.
First it is checked on which side the branch is bent. Then make the initial cut on the side of the bend, finishing it on the
opposite side. Be careful that the cut branch does not bounce back. When cutting tree branches, it should always be
cut from top to bottom, allowing the cut branch to fall freely to the ground. Sometimes, however, it may be necessary to
cut the branch below.
You need to be especially careful when cutting a branch that is live. Such a branch may bounce and strike the operator
after it has been cut.
You should not cut branches while climbing a tree. You should not stand on stairs, platforms, wood or in other similar
positions that could lead to loss of balance and control of the garden pruner. You should not cut at a height above your
shoulders.
When cutting, run the guide rail entirely through the wood, taking the weight of the wood cutting machine at the end of
the cut. Cut branches one by one.
Safe operation of the garden pruner.
Under no circumstances should the machine be used when it is raining or damp. All parts must be installed and meet
the requirements ensuring proper operation of the garden pruner. Any damaged protective element or part must be
replaced immediately.
Storage.
Make sure that the ventilation openings in the motor housing are clean.
A weak solvent and a sponge should be used to clean the plastic elements.
Only those maintenance operations that are described in this manual are permitted. All other operations can only be
performed by an authorized service center.
It is not allowed to make any changes in the design of the garden pruner.
When the machine is not in use, it should be stored after cleaning and on a flat surface, in a dry place, out of reach of
children.
-Switch off the wood cutting machine and remove the battery.
-Push the chain guard on the guide rail so that it covers the entire rail.
-Store the wood cutting machine so that the following conditions are met:
- The wood cutting machine should be out of the reach of children.
- The wood cutting machine is clean and dry.
- The cutting chain is lubricated.
Sharpening the saw chain.
Special attention should be paid to cutting tools. The cutting tools must be sharp and clean, which ensures trouble-free
and safe work. Working with a saw that has a worn chain leads to accelerated wear of the chain, the guide rail and the
drive wheel of the chain, and can even lead to a rupture of the chain. That is why it is very important to sharpen the
chain in time. Sharpening the chain is a complex operation. Self-sharpening of the chain requires the use of special
tools and skills. It is recommended to entrust this operation to qualified persons.
All types of faults must be rectified by RAIDER Authorized Repairers.
