Saving User Memory File
You can have more than one user memory file; the number of such files is
limited only by the capacity of your hard drive. You can save a user memory
file under an arbitrary name, and then load it back, making it possible to have
different memory files for different situations. To save the current memory file,
simply select
Save user memory as
from the top bar
File
menu. A dialog box
will pop up allowing you to specify the file name.
When you exit the WiNRADiO
Excalibur Pro
application, all memory changes
are automatically saved; there is no need to use the Save command before
exit.
Note: The default user memory file is called
Memory.r7m
and resides in the
following folder:
My Documents/Winradio/G33DDC.
Opening User Memory File
When the WiNRADiO
Excalibur Pro
receiver application starts up, the most
recently used memory file will be opened automatically.
To open a different memory file, select
Load user memory
from the
File
menu. A dialog box will pop up allowing you to choose a memory file to load.
HFCC and EIBI
The WiNRADiO
Excalibur Pro
makes it possible to use two special frequency
databases,
HFCC
and
EIBI
. HFCC and EIBI are industry standard web-
published lists of broadcast frequencies and associated user information.
EIBI is an unofficial freeware list, detailing the information on all broadcast
stations from 100 kHz to 30 MHz.
HFCC is a non-governmental, non-profit association, and a sector member of
the
International Telecommunication Union
(
ITU
) in Geneva. It manages global
databases of international short wave broadcasting in keeping with
International Radio Regulations of the ITU. HFCC provides official listings of all
broadcasting stations in the 3 MHz to 30 MHz range.
