Using the
Stop recording
controls, you can force a recording to stop if one (or
more) of three conditions apply: The recording time exceeds a certain length,
the recorded file exceeds a certain size, or the signal becomes squelched for a
longer than specified period.
Finally, you can decide whether you wish to delete a task from the task list if
ended, or wish to keep it for later editing and re-use.
All added tasks will be included in the task list. Right-clicking on an item in the
task list will show a pop-up menu which makes it possible to enable or disable
a task without deleting it, tune to the station specified in the task, edit or delete
a task (these last two functions serve for convenience and duplicate the
Add
and
Edit
buttons).
By default, the recorded audio files are saved in the
My Documents/WiNRADiO/G33DDC
folder, but you can change this using
the function
Recording directory
in the scheduler top bar menu. You will be
presented with a file browser, making it possible to select a folder where any
audio files recorded by the scheduler will be placed. You can also create a
new folder there:

According to UK historians, the
world’s first recording made on a computer was
made in 1951 on the Ferranti Mark 1 computer, made in collaboration with
Manchester University. This was the world’s first commercial computer and a total
of nine were sold between 1951 and 1957. The recording used its short-term
random access memory to play God Save the King, Baa Baa Black Sheep and a
short piece of Glenn Miller's In The Mood.
