Answering System Operation

RECORDING A
CONVERSATION
The answering system lets you record both
sides of a telephone conversation when you
are talking with the handset.
Important: Every state has different regula-
tions governing the recording of conversa-
tions over the telephone. Be sure to check
your local, state and federal laws before us-
ing this product to record any telephone con-
versation in order to determine that your use
is in compliance with such laws or guide-
lines.
To start recording a phone conversation,
press

on the base until the answering
system beeps and appears. To stop record-
ing, press

. The
system stores a recorded conversation as a
message (see “Playing Messages”).

After the answering system has recorded a
message, its message counter shows the to-
tal number of messages stored. If you have

es. The message number appears as each
message plays, and the system announces
the day and time of the call at the end of
each message.
