Answering System Operation

USING THE MENU BUTTON

Use 

MENU

 on the base to select function 

settings. Each time you press 

MENU

, the 

system announces the function and its 
current setting.

Note: The system exits the menu setting 
mode when you:

• wait more than 20 seconds between key 

presses (except when you set the clock, 
in which the time-out is about 2 minutes)

• receive an incoming call

• press 

PLAY/STOP

• press 

TALK

 on the handset

Start again at Step 1 of the each section.

SETTING THE DAY AND 
TIME

You must set the day of the week and time 
so the system can record the correct day and 
time of each message.

Note: Enter each key press within about 2 
minutes. Otherwise, the system exits the 
time setting process and you must begin 
again with Step 1.

announces “Time”, then the currently set 
time and the day of the week.

mode. The system announces the 
currently set day and displays the day’s
