DELAY
to enter the
frequency (including the decimal point) you
want to store.

f you make a mistake, press
CLEAR
to delete
a single digit or press and hold
CLEAR
about 2
seconds to delete all digits.

ENT
to store the frequency into the
channel.
If you made a mistake in Step 3, Error appears
and the scanner beeps when you press
ENT
.
Start again from Step 3.
• Your scanner automatically rounds the entered
frequency to the nearest valid frequency. For
example, if you enter a frequency of 151.553,
your scanner accepts it as 151.550.
• All scanners tune by steps. Your RadioShack
scanner uses steps consistent with the latest
US or worldwide standards. If you enter a
non-valid step frequency, any scanner will
tune to the next step. Some scanner designs
do this without showing the correct step in
the display. This scanner will show the actual
tuned frequency in the display. Because steps
are so close together, the audio quality will not
be affected by the offset.
• After a transmission, the scanner automatically
pauses for 2 seconds on this channel before
proceeding to the next active transmission.
Press •/
DELAY
to turn the delay function off or
on. See “Using Delay”. The scanner stores this
setting in the channel.
