UNFOLDING THE WHEELBASE
•
Standing behind the wheelbase, make sure the brakes are on (pull the brake
lever and lock it using the ratchet type lock)
•
Lift each push handle up towards you until you feel it click positively into position.
(You will not be able to return the push handle to folded position if this is per-
formed correctly)
•
Kneel down and check that the latch is fully engaged on the latch pin
•
Lock into position by pressing spring button located underneath the tri-wheel and
at the same time lift handle. Now push down on the handle to lock the latch pin
into key hole slot and tighten tri-wheel knob.
•
To raise the seat frame to the level position, depress the gas strut pedal.
Note 1: Without either the user or a seating system in place, the gas strut will move
the seat frame powerfully and quickly. To avoid sudden movement, de-
press the gas strut pedal gradually.
Note 2: The push handle latch pin assembly is factory set and should not be ad-
justed.

13 ANTI TIPPERS
Swing away anti-tippers are fitted to your wheelbase, when swung away you can use
the tipping lever to assist you should you need to raise the front wheels from the floor,
such as when negotiating a curb.
13.1 To Swing away the anti-tippers
•
From the rear of the anti tipper place your hand
around it and your forefinger around the release
trigger.
•
Pull back on the release trigger so that the tipper is
unlocked and swing up out of the way
•
The anti tipper will stay in position once swung
away, if it does not stay in position the pivot bolt
may need tightening, refer to section 18 of this
manual regarding maintenance,
13.2 To activate the anti-tippers
•
Swing the anti tipper downwards, you will here a
positive click as the lock pin engages into the lock
receiver.
•
Check that the pin is fully engaged by pulling up
on the anti-tipper, making sure it does not disen-
gage.
NOTE: When you are not negotiating obstacles it is rec-
ommended that the anti-tippers are positioned in the
locked down position.
