Additional Handsets and Chargers
You may, at your option, purchase from Qwest additional handsets and chargers for
your system. Up to four cordless handsets may be used with your base station. The
four handsets include the one handset that comes with the base and up to three
additional handsets. The handset that comes with the base is pre-registered to work
with the base. You must register additional handsets so that they will also work with
your base. Only handsets purchased from Qwest will work with your system.
Registering Additional Handsets
To register additionally purchased handsets,
1.
Turn the handset on by pressing the
Pwr
button.
2.
The handset screen will display “Please
Register.”
3. Press
the
OK
soft key to begin registration mode.
4.
The handset screen will display “Searching.”
5.
Within 3 minutes of pressing
OK
, hold down
the
Flash
key on the base
until the
“In Use”
light on the speakerphone starts flashing.
6.
When the base and handset connect, the
handset display will allow you to select an intercom number associated with that
handset. Valid selections are 1-4. Only unused numbers are displayed.
7.
When the selection is made, the screen will display “Handset X Registered.”
