Transfer
Transferring a call involves moving an external call from one handset to another.
Internal (intercom) calls may not be transferred. There are two types of transfer:
announced and unannounced.
Announced Transfer
1.
Place an outside call on hold.
2.
Place an intercom call to another handset (a number from 1-4), or dial 0 to call
the base.
3.
Announce the call to the person who answers.
4. Hang
up.
5.
The person who receives the call presses
Talk
or
Spkr
to accept the call.
Unannounced Transfer
1.
During an external call, press
Int
on the handset or
Intcm
on the base.
2.
Place an intercom call to another handset (a number from 1-4), or dial 0 to call
the base.
3.
The call will ring on the handset you dialed. Other handsets (or speakerphone)
will show a solid line to indicate the phone is in use.
4.
If the transferred call is not picked up after 30 seconds, the call returns to the
original recipient.
Note: You may also initiate unannounced transfer by pressing
Int*
and any ringing
handset or the base speakerphone may pickup.

the caller, but the caller is prevented from hearing you.
1. Press
Mute
on base speakerphone. The light illuminates.
2.
