MANUAL OPERATION
ERCOLE automations, if correctly installed
and used properly, guarantee a high degree of safety.
- Do not resist the movement of the gate.
- Pull the lever in the unlocking system housing.
ERCOLE automations are specifically
designed to control vehicular access areas with medium-high
traffic frequency. The ERCOLE models for sliding gates are
electromechanical actuators that transmit
the movement of the leaf through a pinion with rack appropriately
coupled to the gate. If automatic operation has been set, sending
a pulse the gate closes by itself after the programmed pause
time.
To prevent an involuntary impulse from activating the gate
during the maneuver, before locking the actuator again,
disconnect the electrical power to the equipment.
- Refrain from any attempt at repair or direct intervention, and
only use qualified personnel.
- Open or close the door until the unlocking system engages.
- Keep light signaling systems effective and clearly visible.
Read the instructions carefully before using the product
and save them for future reference.
An opening impulse sent during the closing phase always
causes the movement to reverse. A stop pulse (if provided)
always stops the movement.
LEVER UNLOCKING SYSTEM.
DESCRIPTION
- In case of failure, unlock the gate to allow traffic and request
the intervention of qualified technical personnel.
RESUMPTION OF NORMAL OPERATION
UNLOCKING SYSTEM WITH LEVER -
Close the unlocking lever in its seat.
Some simple rules of behavior can avoid accidental
inconveniences: - Check that
no person or object remains close to the automation, especially
during its operation.
- Do not make any modifications to the components of the
automation system.
- Close the plastic protection box of the unlocking system.
- Do not allow children to play with the automation.
- At least every six months, have a qualified technician check
the effectiveness of the automation, safety devices and ground
connection.
If the semi-automatic mode is activated, it is necessary to send
a second impulse to obtain closure.
- Open or close the door manually.
- Prevent branches or bushes from interfering with the movement
of the gate.
If it is necessary to move the gate by hand due to lack of
electricity or automation failure, use the unlocking device as
described below.
For a detailed description of the behavior of the sliding gate in
the different operating modes, consult the installation technician.
The automations are equipped with safety elements (photocells)
that prevent the gate from closing when there is an obstacle in
its radius of action. The system guarantees mechanical locking
when the engine is not running, making it possible to do without
locks. For this reason, to open the gate manually it is necessary
to use the unlocking system. The gearmotors are equipped with
adjustable mechanical or electronic clutches, which function as
a means of anti-crushing safety and guarantee the stopping and
locking of the gate.
GENERAL SAFETY RULES
- Do not try to operate the gate by hand without having
previously unlocked it.
- Do not leave radio controls or other pulse generators that
could inadvertently activate the automation within reach of
children.
- Open the plastic locker protecting the unlocking system.
- Once manual operation is activated, before restoring normal
mode, disconnect the system's power supply.
