RDS 1562
The RDS 1562 remote display enables you to monitor the status and set the parameters of your SBC NRG+ Medium and
High series, Quick
®
battery chargers. The RDS 1562 utilized a CAN bus communication interface.
The RDS 1562 features:
• Alphanumeric LCD display.
• Multi-language user interface.
• Display three battery charger output voltages.
• Display the total current supplied by the battery charger.
• Backlit display with 6 intensity levels.
• Adjustable display contrast to 5 intensity levels.
• Audible alarm.
• User settable parameters.
• Display powered via CAN Bus cable.
• CAN bus interface for data transfer.
• Easy installation.
• Can work in a wide range of ambient temperatures.
• Reverse polarity protection.
INSTALLATION
The installation of the instrument must be carried out by qualified personnel.

INSTALLING THE INSTRUMENT
This manual describes the typical installation procedure. Installation procedures may vary.
Adapt this procedure to satisfy your own personal requirements.
The following recommendations should be considered when determining the location of the display:
• The instrument should be installed in a place where it can be easily read by the operator.
• Select a clean, smooth and flat area.
• Access from the rear must be available for installation and maintenance purposes.
• Leave enough space behind the display to install and access the cable connectors..
• The back of the instrument must be protected against contact with water and moisture.
• Pay attention when drilling the panel or parts of the boat. This hole should not weaken or break/crack the boat's struc-
ture.
