11. TAKING OUT OF SERVICE 

 

11.1. Temporarily 

  Run a cleaning cycle for the coffee group 

 Carry out the daily maintenance procedures. 

 Turn off the main switch, disconnect the power plug. 

 

  Empty  the  water  tank,  the  drip  tray  and  the  dregs 

drawer and wash them. 

 

  Store  the  machine  in  a  dry  place  protected  from  the 

elements  and  with  limited  access  (avoid  leaving  it 
within reach of children). 

 

11.2. Permanently

 

If the machine is to be put out of order or scrapped, the 
following  steps  should  also  be  taken  in  addition  to  the 
procedures for taking out of service temporarily: 
 

 Cut the power cord. 

 

 Pack the machine in cardboard or  similar and consign 

it  to  the  relevant  authorized  recycling  or  recovery 
service. 

 
 
 
 
12. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE 

 

In  the  event  of  damage  to  the  power  cord, 
contact  an  authorized  service  center  to  have  it 
replaced as this requires special equipment. 

If  waste  materials  from  maintenance  are  polluting  or 
non-biodegradable,  they  should  be  placed  in  separate 
containers  and  consigned  to  the  appropriate  collection 
centres. 
 
Checks that can be carried out by the user. 
 

A) The machine does not switch on: 

-

 

Check that the plug has been connected. 

-

 

Check that there is electric current and that the circuit 
breaker or main switch is on. 

-

 

Check the condition of the plug and the power  cord; 
if  they  are  damaged  have  them  replaced  by  a 
qualified electrician. 

-

 

Check the fuses in the machine socket (Figure 2-13). 

 

B) Does not dispense coffee: 

-

 

Lack  of  water in the tank;  top  off the level and then 
turn the machine off and on again. 

-

 

Coffee  pump  overheated,  wait  for  the  thermal 
protector to reset. 

-

 

Grind is too fine, adjust coarser. (Figure 4) 

 
 

 

 
C) Does not dispense hot water or steam: 

-

 

The machine has not reached operating temperature. 

-

 

The water level in the boiler has not been topped up; 
switch machine off and on again. 

-

 

Nozzles  blocked;  clean  the  nozzles  on  the  steam 
wand spray. 

 

E) Not dispensing coffee properly: 

-

 

Coffee ground too fine or too coarse. 

-

 

Ensure there is coffee in the coffee hopper. 

 

F) Does not grind coffee: 

-

 

Check the protection fuse on the inside of the door, if 
it is  blown  replace  with  one  of  the  same  type,  press 
and turn counter-clockwise (Figure 7). 

 

G) Cappuccino frother not working: 
-

For  any other kind of anomaly or problem not 
specified  here,  unplug  the  machine  from  the 
power  supply,  do  not  attempt  any  repairs  or 

inspections and contact an authorized service center.
