Transmission of XCLK can be used to help synchronize
c o m m u n i c a t i o n s w i t h a p e r i p h e r a l o r t o p r o v i d e a s h i f t
c l o c k f o r a r e c e i v e r . T r a n s m i s s i o n o f X C L K i s
a c c o m p l i s h e d b y c o n n e c t i n g p i n s 6 a n d 7 o f t h e j u m p e r
block (figure 22).
A U X I N i s t h e a u x i l i a r y i n p u t f r o m a p e r i p h e r a l
device. Connecting AUX IN to AUX OUT provides a loopback
m o d e o f o p e r a t i o n . T h a t i s , w h a t e v e r i s t r a n s m i t t e d b y
t h e p e r i p h e r a l w i l l b e f e d b a c k t o t h e p e r i p h e r a l . A U X
