Lateral position (from 4 months)
This position is especially indicated when your baby is a bit bigger and starts to support its head by
itself. Long walks will be very pleasant and comfortable for both of you.
a.
Position the Babysling on your left
shoulder. Hold your child with your
left arm.
b.
Holding your child high up on your
shoulder, pass your free hand under
the sling and raise it up until you can
grasp your child’s feet.
c.
Let your child slip gently into the
sling so that he/she is sitting on your
hip with legs wide apart on each
side.
d.
Pull lightly on the lower edge loca-
ted between the legs and make sure
that it passes behind the knees.
e.
Make the upper edge go back up
just under the arms (or continue hi-
gher to completely wrap the shoul-
ders) and the lower part towards you
to create a seat.
DID YOU KNOW?
Children carried
on the side on their parents’ hip auto-
matically adopt the optimal opening
angle of the hips for the treatment
of dysplasia. In addition, continuous
movement stimulates the head of
the femur in contact with the hips.
