Speed Control Specification
The Quanum brushless motor boat is assembled with a 60A water cooled brushless ESC,
please see below for the specification:
Protection: Thermal protection is activated at 120
C.
LVP( low voltage protection) is activated
when the Lipa battery drops down below 3.2v per cell.
Input Voltage: 2S - 4S Lipa (7.4
~
11.1v)
Current Rating: 60A
Peak Current: 70A max 10 seconds.
BEC Output: 2A
@
5v
Calibration: 1.Connect motor to the ESC, plug ESC lead into receiver.
2.Switch on transmitter and move throttle to full position.
3.Plug in battery to power on the ESC.
4.After 4 high pitched tones set the trigger to minimum throttle.
5.After 3 repeat monotones unplug the battery from the ESC.
lubricating The Drive Shaft
Lubrication of the flexshaft is vital to keep it operating smoothly. The lubricant also acts as a
water seal and stops water from entering the hull through the stuffing box. A good
q
uality
waterproof grease is best for lubrication.
Lubricate the flexshaft, propeller shaft and all moving parts after every 2-3 hours of operation.
1.Use the 2mm Allen key to loosen the 2 grub screws of
the coupler which holds the flexshaft, slide the flexshaft
with prop shaft out of the stuffing tube.
2.Lubricate the flexshaft and prop shaft with waterproof
grease, reinstall the flexshaft and prop shaft in reverse
order, be sure to re-tighten the 2 grub screws of
coupler.
NOTE: Running the model boat in salt water could cause some parts to corrode. If you run the
boat in salt water, rinse it thoroughly in fresh water after each use and lubricate the
drive system.
