Note: To install a full length card, use the supports provided on
the cooling shroud.
4 If applicable, connect any cables to the expansion card.
5 Install the expansion card riser (see Figure 63 and Figure 64 ).
6 Close the Node cover (see Opening and Closing the Node ).
7 Turn on the system (see Turning On and Shutting Down the System
on page 21).
8 Run Factory Detect Hardware from the Service Menu to detect the
new hardware (see Factory Detect Hardware on page 40).
9 In the remote management console, delete any administrative alerts
and close any service tickets.

Obtaining a

Controller
Before beginning the replacement procedure, make sure that you have
the required replacement kit. The appropriate replacement integrated
storage controller will be provided by Quantum Customer Support (see
Figure 66 ).
You will need the following items to perform this procedure:
• Replacement integrated storage controller kit provided by Quantum
Customer Support.
• ESD grounding wrist strap (included in the replacement kit)
