Refer to the illustration above and follow the procedures below. Note that the illustration above shows a test on an
MHL sink device. Note also that you will have to refer to the 882EA User Guide to run the HDCP compliance test.
1. Apply power to the TPA-MHL2-8R using the power adapter provided.
2. Make the connections as shown in the diagram below. For this application you will be using the section on the
TPA-MHL2-8R labeled

MHL
– MHL SINK DUT

a. Connect an MHL cable from the MHL sink device under test to the
MHL OUT TO DUT
connector on the
TPA-MHL2-8R.
b. Connect an HDMI cable from the
HDMI IN
connector of the TPA-MHL2-8R to the appropriate port on the
Encryption Status Tester (EST) and then to the 882EA HDMI OUT connector.
4. Refer to the 882EA User Guide for details on how to run HDCP compliance tests on a sink device.
