NOTE: These replacement check straps
are adjustable at both ends, allowing
you to install it in various lengths
depending on how far you want your
door to open. First, slide the Footman
loop through the desired loop on the
check strap and reinstall it with the
two factory T30 bolts. (FIG12)
Next, slide the desired front loop of the
strap over the factory retaining hook
on the kickpanel of the vehicle and
reconnect the wiring harness under
the dash. (FIG13) Reinstall your door
panel. Repeat all steps on opposite side
of the vehicle. Your new Quadratec
adjustable door check straps are now
installed.
Adjustable Door Check Strap Installation:
Install the new replacement check strap
over the wiring harness and zip the zip-
per together. The check strap should be
installed with the zipper facing down
toward the bottom of the harness/door.

Slide the check strap over to the area of
the wiring harness where the original
strap was taped in place. Attach the
new harness to the wires in the original
spot with a few wraps of electrical tape.
