Using a pair of scissors, very carefully
cut the old check strap off of the wiring
harness. Make sure you do not cut or
damage the wires. (FIG8)
Completely remove the factory check
strap from the wiring harness as shown.

Adjustable Door Check Strap Installation:
Remove the footman loop from the door
and slide it out of the loop on the check
strap. (FIG6)
Carefully remove the electrical tape that
is attached to the end of the check
strap. (FIG7)
