Compatibility with Other Products
Here’s how to use the SideKar
Decoder Edition
with other
products.
For the Elecraft products, in general, it is connected as
the last device in the serial (ACC) connection chain.
➢
PX3
– connect the SideKar
Decoder Edition
to the
ACC1 (PC) port on the PX3. For the SideKar
Decoder Edition
to display decoded text from the
KX3, the text decode function on the PX3 must be
turned off.

SideKX End Panels
– SideKar
Decoder Edition
is compatible with SideKX end panels. There is
no need to remove them.
➢
KXPA100
The KXPA100 works a little differently than the PX3
with regards to other devices in the serial port
(ACC) chain.
Here’s how to use the SideKar
Decoder Edition
with a KXPA100. Tnx to Tim

For the KX3 with KXPA100 amplifier,
start with
the KX3 connected to the amplifier as described in
the Elecraft manual.
•
Then, unplug the KX3-to-KXPA100
adapter’s 3.5mm
serial data plug from the KX3’s ACC1 port.
•
Plug in the 3.5mm cable supplied with one end
going into the Rig port on the SideKar
Decoder
Edition
and the other end going to the ACC1 port
on the KX3.
