Installing Expansion Cards

The TS-2888X supports selected expansion cards, some of which require QNAP PCIe brackets. QNAP-
branded expansion cards purchased from the company website are shipped with the brackets necessary to
fit all QNAP NAS models.

Slots 1, 3, and 5 provide the bandwidth of PCIe Gen 3.0 x8 when slot 2, 4, and 6 are not in use. Slots 1, 3,
and 5 only provide the bandwidth of PCIe Gen 3.0 x4 when an expansion board is installed in slot 2, 4, and
6. For details on slot numbering, see

PCIe Slot Numbering

.

Some expansion cards may occupy two PCIe slots.
