WARNING!
Do not operate the Master Remote without the cover installed correctly. The cover is an
essential part of the ingress protection.
3.2.2
ECU Mode
Figure 6
The ECU Mode enables the Master Remote to be used with a DX-ECU Module, to interface
third party devices such as environmental controls and communication aids.
The joystick (or input device) can be used to control up to 4 ECU functions by using the
forward, reverse, left and right directions to operate DX-ECU channels 1, 2, 3 and 4. The
programmed Joystick Switch Threshold will determine the joystick deflection required to
operate the ECU function. The Left and Right Indicator buttons can be used to operate an
additional 2 functions, ECU channels 5 and 8.
The diagonal directions (e.g. forward and left) allow simultaneous operation of two ECU
channels.
ECU Mode is completely ‘plug and play’ – no programming is required. Simply connect the
DX-ECU module, (without the supplied ‘Molex jumper’ cable) and cycle the power. The
G90A supports ‘ECU1’ only.
3.2.3
Lock Mode
Figure 7
The Key Lock system uses a magnetic key to power the wheelchair down to prevent
unauthorized driving. The Key Lock can be disabled with the parameter Lock Enable.
Lock the system
Swipe the magnetic key across the key symbol on the Master Remote. The system will beep
and automatically power itself down.
Unlock the system
Press the On/Off button to power up the system. The flashing red key symbol shows the
system is locked. Swipe the magnetic key across the key symbol, the LED will stop flashing
and the chair may be driven as normal. If the wheelchair is not unlocked, the Master
Remote will automatically turn itself off.
