Aborting a protocol run
A protocol run can be stopped at any time. To stop the run, follow the steps below:
1.
In the
Protocol run in progress
screen, tap
Abort run
. A confirmation dialog appears.

Tap
Yes
to stop the run, or tap
No
to go back to the
Protocol run in progress
screen.

3.
When the run is aborted, the instrument finishes the current movement, and then attempts to
dispense the contents of the pipettes into the first available empty tubes, and to release tips
into empty tip holders. Then, the worktable returns to its initial position. After this is done, a
message is shown and the
Proceed to the summary
button is activated. Tap
Proceed to the
summary
.
Note
: If you tap
Abort
during a pause or when the machine is waiting to reach a specific
temperature, the run is stopped immediately.

4.
Tap Finish to end the run and go back to the
Home
screen. A run report is generated. For
more information on how to save a run report, refer to the Saving a run report section (see
page 128).
