User rights description
“Local”:
Local rights are for local operation, such as using the front panel, remote control
and RS-485 keyboard.
PTZ control: Locally control PTZ cameras;
Record: Manual start/stop recording;
Set parameters Setup: Locally setup the DVR parameters;
Log: Locally view the log on DVR;
Utilities: Locally upgrade firmware, format the HDD, reboot the DVR and shut
down DVR, etc.
“Remote” (through network or internet):
PTZ Control: Remotely control PTZ cameras;
Record: Remotely start/stop manual recording;
Set parameters Setup: Remotely setup the DVR parameters;
Log: Remotely view the log on DVR;
Utilities: Remotely upgrade firmware, format the HDD, reboot the DVR and shut
down DVR, etc.
Talk: Client talks with DVR;
Alarm: Remotely control DVR alarm output;
Video Out: Remotely control DVR video output;
Com Control: DVR RS-232 transparent channel function.
MAC Address
This MAC address is not the address of DVR but the PC that will access DVR. If
you setup this MAC address, only the PC with this MAC address can access this
DVR.
At PC end, in DOS prompt, you can use “ipconfig” command to get the PC MAC
address (6 bytes).
Delete User
In “User Management” interface, you can use

keys to select a user, then

to move “Active Frame” to “Del” button, press

confirmation dialog, press “Confirm” button to delete the selected user and return.
Press “Cancel” or
