*The metal detector also features a low battery indication cursor, this displays and warns you of low battery.

Ground Balance

This metal detector features ground balancing rotary control adjustment, which allows you to offset the
effect of mineralization and unwanted frequency pickups which can alter and provide "false" metal detector
readings. You must apply proper ground balancing to optimum metal detecting performance.    To apply
proper ground balancing, follow the steps below:

  1. Find a patch of ground free of metal objects (preferably in the area of the location you plan on metal
detecting). Then set the ground balance adjustment knob to the 'P' Preset position.

  2. Lift the search coil over 1 meter from the ground.    Press and hold the 'PINPOINT' button as you
gradually continue to lower the search coil to the ground surface floor, until you are hovering roughly one
inch above the ground floor surface.

  3. If the signal frequency sound and the signal strength cursor do not experience any changes or
detections, then you have properly applied ground balance stabilization to your metal detector.

- If you do experience a change in the signal strength cursor, or the metal detector detects a frequency,

the ground balancing process must be reset and adjusted accordingly (repeat from step #1).

*Recalibration of the ground balance adjustment knob is usually done with slow increment turns in a
clockwise direction. Over or under-adjustment of the ground balance control with negatively affect the
frequency detection of your metal detector resulting in the loss of sensitivity stabilization.

*Releasing/ resetting the PINPOINT button in magnetic or oxidized ground floor surface areas can assist
in optimal ground balance setting.

Sensitivity Adjustment

Generally, treasure hunters set sensitivity settings to the highest level, if there is much electromagnetic
interference around or the soil is highly mineralized, the detector will sound an erratic tone, and if this
happens, then you should reduce the detector’s sensitivity. When the metal detector is set in a higher
sensitivity range setting, the detector will be sensitive to the electromagnetic interference that comes from
foreign or 'known' objects within the environment of detecting (ei. power lines, cables, pipes, etc.). It is also
possible to receive false metal detector readings from abnormal soil conditions, including the mineralization
of soil or electrical conductivity of the soil type. If you move the search coil in the detection area, and the
detector sends an unstable 'false' signal, decrease and adjust the sensitivity accordingly.

*When operating the metal detector, be sure to avoid close proximity with familiar and known metal objects
- as you intend to find unknown or hidden metal objects. The metal detector is also prone to interference
from electronic device and frequency wave generating technologies. Avoid electro-magnetic interference
and keep the unit away from cellphones, smart devices, TVs, computers, etc.
