Troubleshooting Guide

If you have a problem with your PA-3039, check this list for a possible solution before calling for service. If you cannot
solve the problem from the hints given here, or the unit has been physically damaged, call a qualified person, such as
your dealer for services.

Symptom Possible

cause  Action

The power cord plug is not completely
inserted.

Confirm that the power cord plug is

connected completed.

No sound is heard when the power is
turned on.

Headphones are connected.

 Disconnected the headphones from

the headphones jack.

Sound is not heard from the speaker
system on one side.

The speaker connection wires are
disconnected.
The balance control is not set to the
center position.

Check and correct the connections of

the speaker connection wires.

Set the balance function until no

“BALANCE” indicator on display.

Sound stops during a performance, or
no sound is heard when the power is
turned on.

The protection circuitry has functioned
because the positive and negative
speaker connection wires are “shorted”
or speaker systems with an impedance
of the amplifier are used.

Switch off the power, and, after

determining and correcting the cause,
switch on the power once more.

High-pitched noise (“howling”) is
heard while a microphone is being
used.

The microphone is being used too close
to the speakers.

 Use the microphone farther away

from the speakers or decrease the
volume level.

Cannot turn on power and “OVER
HEAT PROTECTION” is shown on the
display.

The amplifier outputs high power (over
10dB) to speaker system for a long
time.

Wait for the temperature falls down

until clock is shown on the display.
Once clock is shown on display, you
can press standby.
