3.2  Technical outputs.

The PSU has the following indication outputs:

FAC – • FAC technical output indicating AC power failure

- OC type output indicating AC power failure. During  normal operation, (230V AC power on) the output is

shorted  to  ground  (L  state  –  0V).  In  case  of  power  loss,  the  PSU  will  switch  the  output  into  hi-Z  state  (high
impedance) after a time lag set by the J1 and J2 jumpers: 5s/140s/17m/2h20m.

- R type output – relay type, indicating AC power failure. In case of failure, relay contacts are switched

automatically after a time lag set by the J1 and J2 jumpers: 5s/140s/17m/2h20m.

CAUTION!
The arrangement of contacts at the figure 6 shows a potential-free status of the relay,
which is equivalent to AC power failure.

FPS  –  technical  output  of  the  PSU  operation  status:  -  OC  type  output  indicating  failure  (short-circuit,

overload). During normal operation, shorted to ground – L state (0V). In case of failure, the output is switched
into hi-Z state (high impedance).

FLB – technical output indicating low battery voltage: - OC type output indicating low battery  voltage

during battery operation. For the battery voltage V

BAT

 >23V, the output is shorted to ground (L state – 0V). If

the battery voltage has dropped below V

BAT

<23V, the PSU will switch the output into high impedance state hi-

Z.

The  technical  outputs  of  the  PSU  are  in  the  open  collector  (OC)  configuration  as  shown  in  the  Figure

below.

TAMPER - output indicating enclosure opening: - volt free contact input indicating the status of the

power supply doors, PSU closed: contacts closed (NC), PSU open: contacts open (NO).

Service and operation.

4.1  Procedure in case of short-circuit of the power supply output (SCP activation).

The  AUX1  ÷  AUX4  outputs  are  protected  against  short-circuit  by

melting  fuses  or  PTC  polymer  fuses

(protection type  is adjusted with the FS-x jumper). In case of melting fuse activation, it should be replaced  with a
fuse of the same type. If the PTC polymer fuses are used, the output voltage is automatically disconnected, which
is indicated by switching off the green LED. Disconnect the load from the power supply output for approximately 1
minute.

4.2  Procedure in case of short-circuit of the BAT output or reverse battery connection.
In  case  of  short-circuit  of  the  BAT  output  or  reverse  battery  connection,  the  F

BAT

  fuse  in  the  battery  circuit

becomes damaged. Restoration of the voltage at the BAT output requires fuse replacement.

4.3  Procedure in case of overvoltage protection OVP activation.
The PSU is protected against overvoltage at the AUX1 ÷ AUX4 outputs. Overvoltage protection thresholds are

selected  with  the  OVP-x  jumpers.  In case  of  overvoltage  protection  activation,  the  output  voltage  is  automatically
disconnected, which is indicated by switching off the green AUX LED and turning on the corresponding OVPx LED.
To resume operation, lower the output voltage with a potentiometer or shift the overvoltage protection threshold to
higher values.

The protection level should be set min. 1.5 V above the output voltage.
