Sponson Sheeting 

Sponson Top 

Build the Sponsons Con’t 

Ride Pads 

Sponson Tops 

A: 

Prepare the top of each sponson.  Using a sanding block, sand diagonally length wise up and down the sponson 

until the keelson is flush (and a slight angle) with the former AND the Non trip is flush with the outside sponson as 
shown 

B: 

Locate the “Sponson Tops”  from 

SHEETING SHEET 2

 

C: 

We suggest adding flotation to the sponsons increase the hull is breached.  Using Styrofoam, Pool Noodles or in-

sulation foam.  Cut to shape to fit the sponson bay as shown 

D: 

Test Fit a Sponson top, make sure it covers the sponson leaving some overhang all around

 

E: 

Begin by brushing the underside of the sheet with resin to seal it, WHILE ITS  WET place on top of the sponson 

(wet side down) BE SURE it covers the sponson  and TAPE IT with masking tape!!   
BE SURE TO USE LOTS we can not have the sheeting separate from the sponson 
Then clamp it to a flat surface, either place it on 1/8” squares or over the edge so the top sheet does not interferer
