Electromagnetic Interference
The MPS1000 uses, generates, and can radiate electromagnetic energy. In order to avoid
electromagnetic interference issues affecting or caused by this unit, be sure to use adequate
EMI protection during its installation and operation.

EMI Caution: The MPS1000 may cause or be susceptible to electromagnetic interference
(EMI) if it is not installed and used with adequate EMI protection.
Clean Environment
The MPS1000 should be operated in an environment with filtered air.
Note: The MPS1000 contains no internal user-serviceable parts; do not remove the cover.
CPC358 card insertion or removal must be done following PT’s instructions, using proper ESD
precautions. Attempting internal repairs during the warranty period may void the warranty.
Always refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
Mounting
Mounting points on the MPS1000 are located at the front on each side of the unit, allowing
mounting brackets to be used for front mounting. For other mounting options, please contact
Performance Technologies. The MPS1000 is designed to be installed in a standard 19 inch
mounting rack.
If several rack-mounted units are installed in a rack, the ambient temperature within the rack
may be higher than the room temperature. Care should be taken to install the units such that
each has sufficient room for air inflow and exhaust, to allow proper cooling.
