When LED 3 is lit up red continuously, LED 4 can provide status information
on the type of error (e.g. “File system defective” or “Error loading operating
software”). In this case, contact product support.
Tip:
The LED 6 (“System warning”) can also be configured on a
function key on a system terminal.
Configuration Examples
The following configuration examples comment on three typical scenarios
the different network configurations.
Standard: DHCP via Internet router
With this network configuration, an Internet router assigns DHCP addresses
in a LAN. This configuration is suitable for single offices and smaller
companies.
For the Forum 5004/5008/5012 communications system, you configure an
IP address that matches the address range of the Internet router. Enter the IP
address of the Internet router into the
DNS server
and
Gateway address
input fields.
