Creating a New Project
Note:
If project was started from a Studio 5000 Add-On Profile (AOP), the following step
(creating a new project) can be skipped.
Before configuring the module, a new PLX50 Configuration Utility project must be created.

Under the File menu, select New.

A PLX50 Configuration Utility Design Tool project will be created, showing the Project
Explorer tree view. A new device can now be added by selecting Add under the
Device menu.

In the Add New Device window, select the ILX56-PBS and click the Ok button.

The device will appear in the Project Explorer tree with its configuration window
opened.
