
Filling the liquid end
With liquid ends without bleed valve:
1.
Connect the suction line to the liquid
end but not yet to the discharge line.
2.
If fitted: Close the shut-off valve on the
discharge side.
3.
Connect a short, transparent section of
hose to the discharge valve.
4.
Remove the cover (1) and check
whether the stroke length is set to
100%.
5.
If not, set the stroke length to 100% -
refer to "Adjusting stroke length".
6.
Switch on the metering pump and allow
to work at maximum stroke length and
stroke rate until some feed chemical
becomes visible in the short section of
hose.
ð
The liquid end has been filled com‐
pletely without bubbles.
7.
Switch off the metering pump.
8.
Connect the discharge line to the liquid
end.
Continue as described under "Concluding start
up".
With liquid ends with bleed valve:
1.
Connect the suction and discharge line
to the liquid end.
2.
Connect the return line.
3.
Open the bleed valve by turning the
star-shaped handle in a counter-clock‐
wise direction.
ð
You can now use the return line to
bleed the pump.
4.
Remove the cover (1) and check
whether the stroke length is set to
100%.
5.
If not, set the stroke length to 100% -
refer to "Adjusting stroke length".
6.
Switch on the metering pump and allow
to work at maximum stroke length and
stroke rate until some feed chemical
becomes visible in the return or dis‐
charge line.

The liquid end has been filled com‐
pletely without bubbles.
7.
Switch off the metering pump.
8.
Close the bleed valve.
Continue as described under "Concluding start
up".
Concluding start up.
1.
Start up the relief valve in the system in
line with its operating instructions.
2.
Start up the system.
3.
After 24 hours of operation: Tighten the
screws on the dosing head - see below
for tightening torque.
